Patches had a C-section and this happened during the procedure.
I know these are awful pictures to look at ....... so why share them?
Sharing knowledge helps us all..........I want you to be aware that these burns DO HAPPEN during surgeries not often but not uncommon .......the cause a heating pad .......yes any liquid running down onto the skin of a dog and hits the electrical heating element can burn you dog while asleep .......these are 3rd dregee burns and do not appear right away they take time to come to the surface and if your dog has a long full coat it is very hard to notice till the coat is cut short. It was 2 wks. before I found signs that something??? happened I had no clue what ? I could not understand what or how or why there was no blood anywhere?? What you are seeing is now 6 days of treatments have been done and it gets worse till it gets better. SO PLEASE check your pets after surgery their whole body a few days afterwards........not that you can change the end result but pain meds and treatments can start sooner. Unfortunatly MOM's nursing can't even have pain meds.
Breeders experience so much that most families have no clue. We hear all to often I would like to get a female because I think it would be a good experience for my children to experience a birth of puppies..........or we are looking for a male stud because we have a great doodle and what to have another just like her?
This is the main reason why I spay/neuter our puppies before they go home to their families ......plus the heal so quickly and are ready to play the next day.........@ 5-6 mos. old they are having MAJOR surgery and take weeks to heal.
Just for people that think we'll breed our dog once before spaying................ BREEDING is not all ROSES
........sometimes there are MANY THORNS and they hurt BIG TIME.......not only do they hurt our doodles but they break our hearts, and sometimes cost us deeply to help ease their pain.
Sometimes puppies are born lifeless.......or have cleft palates and can't nurse and you have to watch them slowly pass away or born deformed.........thank God I have not experienced the last 2 or many more issues that can and do happen........and as Vets tell us all the time the longer you breed the more you will experience and it is so true.......so sadly true.
A simple asperation of milk while nursing, can get into the puppies lungs and weeks of antibotics can't save him and you cry over and over daily trying to save him with sleepless nights for all those weeks sitting up tube feeding him every 3 hrs. giving him, breathing treatments, lasix shots, change meds, oxgen..........try and try everything the Vet suggests and watch him slowly loose weight till you and your Vet agree it is time to end the struggle.
Yes that is what happened to my little Tiger..
I couldn't even begin to write this story when it happened CHRISTMAS DAY 2011 it was devastating to me ........I loved this little boy and he will remain in my heart forever.Know matter how good a breeder how much testing, best food, suppliments, going to seminars to learn about the lastest updates ..........bad things happen.
To me the best part of breeding is our families that continue to stay in touch with pictures of our doodles growing up and telling us great story of how much they love them and the happiness they bring to their families lives.
PLEASE DON'T EVER STOP ..........WE NEED HEAR YOUR STORIES TO EASE OUR PAIN DURING THESE TIMES TO MAKE OUR JOB ALL WORTH WHILE!!
BLESS YOU FAMILIES for the love you send our way and give daily to our puppies!
